Healing Spirits Ranch & Rescue, Inc. - When disaster strikes - we will respond!
Become a Volunteer
If you would like to help us in our missions, you have your chance by being a volunteer. If you are 18 or older, and wish to join our Mounted Search and Rescue Teams, we invite you to email us. Our email address is below. Your assistance and desire to help others is greatly appreciated.

Those who wish to apply as an 'out of state area' volunteer are ALSO welcome for future offices that will open soon, and your application will be also answered no matter what state you live in or work in. All those who do NOT have any felony charges, or convicted of any felony or related charges to our Bylaws restrictions will be considered for approval to become a member of our volunteers and/or future paid positions. If you have any questions regarding how to become a volunteer, please call us on our cell phone if needed.

A large part of our "Mission" is to offer assistance to Law Enforcement agencies. Our  trained and professional help can assist law enforcement agencies in locating  injured people, missing persons and animals during from flash floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and all sorts of minor or major hazardous situations. SAFETY and PROFESSIONALISM is our missions goal at all times.

Youths who are curious about or interested in becoming veterinarians or working with animals are also encouraged to join on our volunteer programs for one-on-one training. If you are under age 18, you must  have parental agreement/authorization signed and notarized, and you too can become a TEAM volunteer. We have room for volunteers -- even Junior Volunteers (ages 10-18) --  and paid positions will also be available on Rescue Teams all over the East Coast and Gulf States, as well as, the Southern States. But our first year's GOAL is starting up in three areas first... Arkansas (to be our headquarters location because of position to move/relocate large animals to safe locations), Florida (because more hurricanes have hit Florida in the past 5 years and have many horse ranches there), and Louisiana (because they too have many agricultural areas, as well as hurricane disasters in the past 5 years than others). Texas is our next area to cover as well as Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.... with the East Coast States as well.

This is why we strive to prepare our teams to show by example to others first, ALWAYS show respect to mother Nature, pay close attention to the weather updates constantly, prepare for a storm before it hits by not underestimating it, follow recommendations from F.E.M.A. and N.O.A.A. in preparing, and never take storms lightly, because they can change in hours and even in minutes sometimes, especially in the summer months.

IN FACT.... are you a certified First Responder, Law Enforcement Officer, Federal Agent, certified Pilot of aircraft (prop/jet/helicopter pilots), Registered Nurse with experience is Emergency Care, certified SCUBA Diver, Rescue Diver/swimmer, past or present reservist for the military and/or Coast Guard, a Vet. Tech, Radiologist Tech, or Thoroughbred Trainer? If so, and you have the heart most of us do that are members who LOVE horses, maybe YOU can find a very interesting and rewarding spot joining as a member, or even fill out an application for positions soon to become open for Rescue Team members(?).  Besides, there is always room for those who wish to keep their jobs/positions now and still be our volunteers on-call as well.

We also train with N.O.A.A., Homeland Security, and all types of Law Enforcement Officers and Hazardous Materials Official Certified classroom professionals. So careers are also an option and fun learning experience being one of our volunteers.

Volunteers are IMPORTANT to us all..... we always salute those who share our ideals.

If you love horses.... you found a new "Family" waiting to welcome you with warm hearts, and humble appreciation to all that help as well.   If you have interest in horses and animals... don't wait to watch time goes by... email us..... we are anxious to hear from you..... even if you don't have a computer at home, you can write us a letter, and you will be answered.

In the near future our goal is to grow with volunteers who love animals healthy and spirited like we do. With that growth we see ourselves branching off to helping even further by incorporating into/tapping into our communities by providing Public Storm Shelters to aid those disabled and/or elderly persons remain safe in our community when danger approaches our office locations.

We also have a desire to lend a hand to our local communities in other ways, like letting children from ages 8-21 learn more about animals by helping us as volunteers, EVEN if they are disabled or handicapped to some degree, they too deserve a chance to help animals know and realize they do matter with LOVE and AFFECTION they give us willingly and usually unconditionally.

Our founder believes that the "Bond for animals from children is so important in a young life. That bond can also lead to a more productive human life to love unconditionally as well". THAT is what LIFE is supposed to be for one another as our creator planned. Why not SHOW by EXAMPLE".

There is a special side of children, who have challenges that can bring the compassion out in anyone they touch their hearts. This is one secret of love the founder has for children and animals that brightens his day every day... helping children, like Walt Disney did in his early life. He loved entertaining children, including his own daughters. Danny applies that interest to do the same, but including a learning process for animals and children by bonding them to each other. This is why we are willing to also consider having a Summer Camp for disabled children... maybe even have weekend Trail Rides as well for parents and their kids.
