Healing Spirits Ranch and Rescue Inc. is not a Department of any of the organizations or groups posted on this page. We assist them with Mutual Aid as a Fire Rescue Service

This is our NATIONAL WEATHER ALERT PAGE. We will constantly update for the coastal gulf and Eastern Atlantic states their current weather alerts when the advisories are issued to us by NOAA and The NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER/Miami, Florida..
You know... so many times local media have numerously warned of these sudden storms and WILD FIRES coming at our rural and suburban areas of our country, and many times a year areas get hit hard by sudden storms. As fire fighters, we deal with seeing these storms and dangers of WILD FIRES from illegally burning trash, tossing old batteries in the woods as a dump of their own, and constantly "test the faith" so to speak by those who don't believe they are in any danger... UNTIL THAT BOLT of lightning hits them, or at them, and they feel the threat UP CLOSE.

Many times not reported is how many 'were hit' and weren't reported to the media, or it wasn't important enough to hear about it on the news to most and ignored. In Florida, that state is registered often times as the Lightning Capitol of the Nation for how many direct hits the storms actually hit the ground, and others... well, they have enough to make sure those who see it coming take cover. In some parts of Florida, some storms get so violent... so quick, the lightning has been known to hit the ground as much as 30-60 times a minute, not an hour.

Most storms have no real damage threat at first, but some do. But most Meteorologists cannot guarantee anything but the rain is coming down in most storms. They depend on radars, and sattelites to help them determine if these storms have any threat possibility and warn us if they do. Some are even stronger than predictions readings even register by the time the alert hits the TV NEWS sometimes, because they can grow in minutes... some can drop a tornado before they at the station knows as well, and when that happens.... that is when REAL DANGER happens, usually within minutes, and these pictures show how that can happen so quickly. This storm below is one several of our staff and founder witnessed this past summer. It was a "Rain Rapped Tornado", west side of the County we were working in where we miles away east of this storm saw the tail curl and hit the ground a few times as it darted between the rain walls around the lower skirt of it. It also shown signs of "Sisters" trying to develop on the sides of it as well, which we reported to Emergency Operations in Rusk County, Texas, as well as Stephen Parr, Chief Meteorologist of Channel 12, Shreveport, LA.

They in turn set the staging of alerting all others of the immediate danger in north bound counties.

We at "Healing Spirits Ranch and Rescue, Inc." have noticed this for years, and as the founder, a few of us are so dedicated to give all we can to help animals and people when these occasions occur of dangers coming, so we have learned to learn from the experts at National Weather Service. Now we have training scheduled that will give us good field training on reading equipment and the weather better in the field and preparing rural areas and ranchers in the area for these storms as well, working with the local media as professional "Storm Watchers", besides trained Fire Fighters, EMT's, First Responders, Paramedics  and Police Officers working together as a good TEAM. We cannot say that ENOUGH how much an HONOR it is to work with fellow Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement to save those lives we can save.

We train Volunteer Fire Departments all we can (NIMS, CPR certifications, grant assistance, state fire fighters certifications help) to help them have better quick responses to these types of emergencies, work beside them as well as TEAM MEMBERS and toss the ego to the side of the road where it stays. "Patients to us come first".

OUR TRAINING IN RAPID WATER RESCUE WORKING WITH THE COAST GUARD PAYS OFF IN TRAINING AS FIRE FIGHTERS TRAINED FOR IT, AND ON PATROL IN DISASTERS WHEN THEY ARE SHORT MANPOWER IN THAT AREA THAT NEEDS HELP, OR WORKING "MUTUAL AID" TO FIRE DEPARTMENTS RESCUING CAMPERS OR BOATERS SWEPT OFF BY A STORM NOT NOTIFIED OF IT IN ADVANCE TO GO TO A SAFE LOCATION, AND IT HAPPENS MORE THAN YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, OR HEAR ABOUT IT ON THE TV TOO.
